There is no one in the world I would rather sit in a corner and make fun of other people with then this lady right here. “The Most Interesting Girl In The World” made a brief cameo at The Bikini Lounge tonight and we both got really excited. Kristin decided that she looks like someone I would draw, so we made up a story that I actually dreamed of her and she’s my soul mate. We also saw the boy who was with her the first and only time we actually met her, who she has clearly cast aside. He was sitting with two other dudes at the table next to us, and I made up a store that they were a group of her ex’s who had formed a club, much like The Ex-Wives Club or The League of Evil Exes (except with jaunty hats and less menace) , who would meet once a week to commiserate and cry in their PBR in random hipster dive bars across the city.
All in all, it was a good night.

These photos will never not make me happy! Roseanne was a huge part of my childhood, and even adulthood after it started syndication on TVLand (I think) a while back because then my little brother, who was born just a year before the show ended, fell in love with it too. My family is from Illinois, so usually anything set there tends to have a special place in our hearts.
The only thing I wish was different about these pictures is that Mark and David were in them. I’m guessing they didn’t have Johnny Galecki (David) in the shoot, even though his character became a big part of the series later on, because it might have been weird to have him without also having Glenn Quinn (Mark), who passed away in 2002.
And Becky #1 forever!

spent more than hour wandering around Retro Ranch this afternoon. I took pictures of every nook and cranny and lots of close ups of the interesting textures and fabrics in their clothing selection. I am thinking about buying a paisley print dress, but did end up buying the little ceramic liquor decanter labels in the last picture above ($10 for all three!). This store is really fabulous and everyone in the Phoenix area should check it out. Go Kat Go used to be right across the street, but they’ve since downsized as Jackalope Trading Post and moved in across the street from my apartment, and right next door the The Bikini Lounge and The Trunk Space, two doors down from The Kooky Kraft Shop.

I love living in Phoenix!
